Event Overview

CCCR-PCA Autocross #79 08/29/2026 is a timed cone-course driving competition presented by PCA – California Central Coast Region at Santa Maria Airport. The scheduled date is 2026-08-29.

Schedule and Format

  • California Central Coast Region – Porsche Club of America Presents Autocross (Teststrecke 79) on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at the Santa Maria Airport.
  • Lunch.
  • We will NOT have a caterer. Bring your lunch.
  • The gate will open at 6:30 a.m. and will be closed promptly at 8:00 a.m. DO NOT ENTER UNTIL YOU HAVE SIGNED THE WAIVER AT THE GATE AND RECEIVED YOUR REGISTRATION PACKET.
  • We strongly urge you to arrive no later than 7:00 a.m. to be sure you get checked in and through Tech Inspection of your car. Do not walk the course until you have had your car inspected and received a green dot for your windshield.
  • There will be a dedicated time for lunch. The rotation of the 2 groups is RUN <-> WORK or WORK <-> RUN depending on group. Please get out to your work station without delay so we can get started.

Entry Fees and Registration

  • Waitlist.
  • Helmets must have a Snell 2020 or 2025 label. We have a limited number of shared helmets for $10/day rental. Snell 2015 helmets may be approved for use if it has a manufacture date less than 10 years old; this is a PCA rule only.

Driver and Vehicle Requirements

  • CCCR Minimum Safety Standards for all Autocross Drivers.
  • Tire Manufacture Date Must be Less than 6 Years Old.
  • Helmets.
  • Helmets must have a Snell 2020 or 2025 label. We have a limited number of shared helmets for $10/day rental. Snell 2015 helmets may be approved for use if it has a manufacture date less than 10 years old; this is a PCA rule only.
  • The minimum age to participate in an autocross is 18 years old (16 & 17 allowed with signed Parental Waiver and accompaning Parent).
  • Both parents should sign the "Waiver and Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement for Minors as Observers Only"; however, one parent /guardian is acceptable. Friends/other relatives are not acceptable.
  • Event requirements.
  • The gate will open at 6:30 a.m. and will be closed promptly at 8:00 a.m. DO NOT ENTER UNTIL YOU HAVE SIGNED THE WAIVER AT THE GATE AND RECEIVED YOUR REGISTRATION PACKET.

  • After signing the waiver, receiving your registration packet and entering the main gate, find a parking space, prep your car and then take your car to tech inspection.
  • There are no sound requirements, but generally we asked that your car is not over 92db at 75 ft. Infraction of the rules, unsportsmanlike conduct or gross negligence by an entrant and/or any crew or guests may be cause for expulsion from the event.
  • Driver Requirements.
  • We urge all regular competitors to obtain their own helmet; shared rentals are available.
  • Check brakes, tire pressure, oil, fuel, etc. before arriving at facility. You are encouraged to run through our tech checklist before you arrive at the track to speed up the tech process. Vehicles with any leaks (oil, coolant, brake, etc.) will be immediately pulled off track.
